Final Proposal: Target Audience and BBFC Rating

From looking at the plot of my short film and due to the fact it is a horror film, this automatically tells me that I am looking at a 12 or above rating for my film. If I was to get BBFC to rate the final product, I do believe it would achieve a 15. This is because even though the film has violence, and a scene showing a women being tortured, in our modern day world, this is simply acceptable in a 15 film.

In one scene the man pulls out the arm of the dead man on the floor, this is a very graphical scene and looking at pushing the short film to an 18, but I believe that this scene would be seen as a comical value, and not so much horror and gore.

To back up my decision to choose a 15 classification, lately the BBFC rated a film called 'DARK NATURE' and this film also achieved a 15 rating. In the BBFC report it states that the film contains 'Strong Bloody Violence'. If that can pass for a 15 so can our short film.
